Emma Wright

Emma began her training in Wu Shu Kwan at the tender age of 9. She graded up to senior Brown belt before joining our club. She is a fully qualified Aerobics, Kai Bo, personal trainer and fitness instructor. She is currently a 2nd degree Blackbelt in Progressive Martial Arts and is training to become an instructor adn already has the following sport based qualifications.
BTEC National Diploma In Sports Science.,Leisure Finance Nutrition Training Award. FOCUS Level 1 Standard Fitness Instructor.

Neil Coatsworth

Neil joined the club after Patrick (his son) started in 2005. Since then he has shown massive dedication to the club and has slowly but surely worked his way up the belts. He is present at almost every childrens class and has began instructor training in the junior syllabus. At present Neil is not a full instructor within the club but keep your eyes peeled as i am sure he will measure up very very soon.

Ian Wilkinson

Ian began his training at the club in 2003. Since then he has excelled in the areas of sparring and reality based self defense. He is a valuable asset to the club and has a fantastic attiude towards training what works.

At the end of 2006 ian succesfully completed the grueling 4 hour blackbelt exam and now holds his 1st dan blackbelt.
Junior Instructors

Listed below are the junior instructor currently training and assisting in the kids classes. The people listed were chosen for their attitude to training, their skill level and most importantly (for an instructor) their ability to clearly get there point across and help others to progress.


Kimberly Millward

Kim began training with the club in 2004. She has worked her way up the rades in a spectacular manner and excells in pattern work. Kim also competes in Irish Dancing competition and her winning attitude is a great attitude to train with.

Kim Coatsworth
Kim began training at the club after watching her dad and brother in class. She has slowly beagn to shine in the class and is one of the most natural instructor the club has ever seen. On countless occasion students have reported how they enjoyed the lesson while she has helpped them and to date has had the highest marks at grading on three occasions.
